When I’m on the Tube and I see a new film is out — especially American films — you see bloke, bloke, bloke, bloke, woman, bloke on the poster.
Personally I am unbelievably lucky to still have these great jobs but why people are so uninterested in women as a whole in drama? I don’t get it.
” —Anna Chancellor: Sexist TV Bosses Don’t Give Top Roles to Women (via fyannachancellor)Just watched the first episode of Psychobitches.
Bloody brilliant! Bette and Joan are the best.
Thanks for following and enjoy the madness! :)
Anna Chancellor and Toby Stephens talk to Gaby Roslin about Private Lives.
I don’t know if it was a dream or my mind working while falling asleep, however a cross-over between The Hour and Call the Midwife (which I haven’t watched yet) occured to me last night.
A baby was left at Lime Grove (for no particular reason because why would you leave a baby at the BBC?) and everyone cuddles the baby. Follows a scene of Randall calming the baby and deciding to name her Julia (because of 1984!). And of course, my brain is a masochist even while at sleep so Lix sees him. Heartbreaking scene.
Then Chummy arrives. Apparently Lix called her. They’re neighbours and they’ve bonded over being the black sheep of a prominent family. Odd moment between Chummy and Randall in which Chummy tries to joke and Randall is perplexed. And then Chummy takes the baby and brings Julia (because that’s decided, she’s called Julia) to the Nonnatus.
